Symptom Admin is an integrated system that starts from symptoms and evaluates multiple diagnoses simultaneously. Takes patient-reported symptoms and identifies applicable diagnoses among dozens (ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar, Autism, Sleep, etc.) using differential diagnosis and comorbidity logic.

🎯 Design principle

Real patients don't arrive saying "I suspect ADHD." They come with symptoms: "I can't focus," "I'm anxious," "I can't sleep." A single patient typically meets criteria for multiple diagnoses simultaneously. Examples:

Difficulty focusing → suspect ADHD + possible depression + possible anxiety
Sleep problems → suspect depression + anxiety + sleep disorder
Irritability → ADHD + bipolar + PTSD

Symptom Admin handles this "one symptom → many diagnosis candidates" reality head-on.

증상 triage 설문지. 각 모듈별 질문 + 공통 질문 (수면, 에너지, 기분 등). 환자는 이 설문 하나로 여러 진단을 동시에 스크리닝.

4. ⚖️ 판별 규칙

각 모듈의 진단 결정 규칙. ADHD Admin의 규칙과 구조 동일 (JSON conditions).

규칙마다 어느 모듈에 속하는지 명시 중요. 같은 intake 응답이 ADHD 규칙과 우울 규칙 둘 다 매치할 수 있고, 그게 정상.

5. 🧬 Fusion · 감별 + 공존 로직

Symptom Admin의 심장부. 여러 규칙이 매치됐을 때 어떻게 통합할지 결정.

3. 📋 Intake Assessment

Symptom triage questionnaire. Per-module questions + shared items (sleep, energy, mood). One survey screens for multiple diagnoses.

4. ⚖️ Determination Rules

Per-module decision rules. Same structure as ADHD Admin rules (JSON conditions).

Each rule must specify which module it belongs to. A single intake response may match both ADHD and depression rules simultaneously — and that's normal.

5. 🧬 Fusion · Differential + Comorbidity Logic

Heart of Symptom Admin. Decides how to integrate when multiple rules match.

Symptom Admin의 가장 복잡하고 가장 가치 있는 부분. 여러 규칙이 매치됐을 때, 단순히 "가장 점수 높은 것"이 정답이 아닙니다.

A. Differential (감별)

"A와 B가 비슷한 증상을 공유하지만 둘 중 하나만 진단"

ADHD vs Depression: 집중 곤란이 공통이지만, 동기 저하 + 수면 증가 + 식욕 변화가 있으면 우울 쪽
Bipolar vs Unipolar Depression: 조증 삽화 이력이 있으면 양극성
ADHD vs Anxiety: 불안 없이 순수 부주의만이면 ADHD 쪽

B. Comorbidity (공존 — 둘 다 진단)

"A와 B는 자주 같이 옴 — 둘 다 진단해야 올바른 치료"

ADHD + Anxiety: 50% 이상 공존 (매우 흔함)
ADHD + Depression: 30-40% 공존
PTSD + Depression: 거의 항상 공존

C. Exclusion (배타 — 하나가 다른 것을 제외)

"A가 확정되면 B는 자동 제외"

Bipolar → Unipolar Depression 제외
Substance-induced mood → Primary mood disorder 제외
Medical cause (thyroid) → Primary psychiatric disorder 제외

설계 팁 처음에는 Differential만 1–2개 정의하고 시작하세요. 실제 환자 케이스를 10–20개 본 후 comorbidity 규칙을 추가하는 것이 좋습니다. 처음부터 완벽한 매트릭스를 만들려고 하지 마세요.

The most complex and most valuable part of Symptom Admin. When multiple rules match, "highest score wins" is NOT the right answer.

ADHD vs Depression: focus issues are common, but low motivation + hypersomnia + appetite changes → depression
Bipolar vs Unipolar Depression: manic episode history → bipolar
ADHD vs Anxiety: pure inattention without anxiety → ADHD

B. Comorbidity (both diagnosed)

"A and B often co-occur — must diagnose both for correct treatment"

ADHD + Anxiety: >50% comorbidity (very common)
ADHD + Depression: 30–40% comorbidity
PTSD + Depression: nearly always comorbid

C. Exclusion

"A confirmed → automatically excludes B"

Bipolar → excludes unipolar depression
Substance-induced mood → excludes primary mood disorder
Medical cause (thyroid) → excludes primary psychiatric disorder

Q1. 한 환자를 Symptom Admin에 먼저 넣고, 진단 확정 후 ADHD Admin으로 옮기면 자동 이동되나요?

A. 아니요. 두 시스템은 완전 독립이라 자동 이동 없음. 수동으로: Symptom Admin에서 환자 데이터 내보내기 → ADHD Admin에서 새 환자로 입력 (필요한 정보만 옮겨 적기). 현재는 개별 입력 권장.

Q2. 같은 환자가 두 시스템에 존재하는 게 정상인가요?

A. 네, 정상. Symptom Admin = 진단 전 triage, ADHD Admin = 진단 후 치료. 목적이 다르므로 같은 환자가 두 곳에 있을 수 있음. 코드도 다르게 할 것을 권장 (예: Symptom은 SY-001, ADHD로 옮기면 AD-001).

Q3. 새 진단(예: Depression)을 추가하려면 어떻게 하나요?

A. 3단계:

A. 처음엔 Fusion 없이 그냥 판별 규칙만 돌려보세요. 실제 환자 10–20명 응답을 받아보면 "아, 이런 패턴이 있구나" 하는 게 보입니다. 그때 Fusion 규칙 1–2개씩 추가. 완벽한 매트릭스를 선행으로 만들려고 하면 오히려 막힘.

Q5. ADHD Admin이 없어도 Symptom Admin만 써도 되나요?

A. 네. Symptom Admin은 독립적으로 작동. 단, 진단 후 치료 단계로 넘어가면 별도 시스템이 필요함. ADHD Catcher가 Gold Template이 되면 다른 Catcher들도 복제 예정.

Q1. If I enter a patient in Symptom Admin first and confirm ADHD, does it auto-move to ADHD Admin?

A. No. The two systems are fully independent. Manual: export patient data from Symptom Admin → re-enter in ADHD Admin (only necessary info). Currently manual entry is recommended.

Q2. Is it normal for the same patient to exist in both systems?

A. Yes, normal. Symptom Admin = pre-diagnosis triage; ADHD Admin = post-diagnosis treatment. Different purposes, so same patient can exist in both. Recommend different codes (e.g., SY-001 in Symptom, AD-001 when moved to ADHD).

Q3. How do I add a new diagnosis (e.g., Depression)?

A. 3 steps:

Add comorbidity rule in 🧬 Fusion as needed (ADHD + Depression, etc.).

Q4. Fusion rules feel too complex. Where do I start?

A. Skip Fusion initially. Just run the basic determination rules. After seeing 10–20 real patient responses, patterns will emerge ("ah, so these cluster together"). Then add Fusion rules 1–2 at a time. Trying to build a perfect matrix upfront actually blocks progress.

Q5. Can I use Symptom Admin without ADHD Admin?

A. Yes. Symptom Admin works independently. However, post-diagnosis treatment needs a separate system. Once ADHD Catcher becomes the Gold Template, other Catchers will be cloned accordingly.
